Les trois quarts du troupeau restent dehors, et l’augmentation du cheptel n’a ainsi pas nécessité d’agrandir les bâtiments. Ne sont mis à l’intérieur que les agnelles achetées en janvier et qui ne sont jamais sorties, ainsi que les agneaux mâles destinés à la vente pour achever plus rapidement leur croissance lors des périodes où l’herbe est moins productive. Au printemps, ce sont mille brebis qui agnellent dehors, une gestion qui aurait été impossible pour un tel nombre à l’intérieur. Le coût de la ration alimentaire est quant à lui quatre fois moins élevé au pâturage qu’en bergerie. Et la quantité de fourrage stocké a été divisée par deux… », rapporte A. Delpech.

We have purchased the Clover mobile through our Suntrust bank branch and were very excited about the capabilities. It is a nice unit except for one major problem. In 6 months we have been sent 6 replacement devices because a bug causes all debit entries to be ran as credit entries. Well after the second device, I started wondering if this is some kind of procedure put into place by First Data. Their credit card rates are higher, but they sell you on the fact that all debit transactions are free. Which is great, if their equipment didn't disable debit transactions every 4 weeks. This has cost us a few hundred dollars per month on credit card fees that should have been run as debit. The equipment is cool and fast, but that debit scam is pretty sinister.
Don’t Go with Clover… We got roped into a 3 year contract thru Suntrust, First Data and Clover… We lived in Arizona starting a business in Hawaii we wanted to get our equipment as soon as we could so we would be proficient with the units. We got our clover equipment in December 2015 moved to Hawaii in Febuary. The first time it was used for a sale was June 2016, I called suntrust and told them the equipment was not for us. He said sorry it’s to late to send it back we have since used the equipment maybe a handful of times more. Which all transactions are very visible to them. We called to send the equipment back they wanted $1829.13 to do that. Stay as far away from Clover, First Data and Sun Trust as you can. As a small business owner wish I knew then what I do now. Beware.!!!!

My winery owns about $2,000 in First Data Clover equipment. It functions acceptably but not great. Our merchant processor charges 4.5% effective rate when you add in the fees. The fact that going to another merchant processor makes our $2K Clover equipment boat anchors is insane. We are going to jump to another POS and another merchant processor. I guarantee you we will NEVER purchase First Data services or a Clover. This business practice may be legal but it’s bad bad bad.

We own a boutique where we also offer screen printing and embroidery. The Clover system was sold to us as full POS system. Not the case at all. We were all excited to get started with it. It looked modern, cool, and expectations were high. When we tried to ring up our first printing order of more than 100 pieces we found our first issue. The system will not allow sales of items with a quantity of more than 100. Not a good thing when we routinely sell t-shirt orders of more than 100 shirts. We either had to make up multiple skus, which made a receipt look terribly unprofessional, or make an invoice on Word. Then I wanted to run a report on inventory value. Not possible. You can export a report to excel but good luck with that. My wife and I have both called customer support. We were both told that when enough people complained about the same issue, they may look into a fix. Until then, nothing would change. This was after going through multiple customer service reps who didn’t even understand what I was asking for help with. When asked if we could return the 2 POS systems we bought we were literally told “they’re yours, you bought them, do what you want with them, you could try selling them on ebay”. Needless to say, at this point, POS and Clover have a whole new meaning for us. Definitely not “Point of Sale” or “Lucky Clover”. We’re currently looking for another option, over $2000 and a lot of frustration later.


Payment Depot is one of the few trustworthy Clover resellers with straightforward pricing and no hidden fees or commitments. However, Payment Depot also offers another great product called SwipeSimple that works well for low-budget and low-volume processors. I’m in the UK, spent approx 20K on terminal hardware and god knows how much on Clover software. Bottom line was we were promised the earth by the Clover rep, the system didn’t do what we wanted and basically 2.5 years down the line we have pulled them out of our stores. Customer service is awful, would not recommend them at all. So basically I have about 16 full terminal systems in my office which are useless and fully paid for. Why can’t the internet be put onto them so you could at least give them away for families to use the tablets? The printers are useless too as the serial numbers are linked to each terminal in some way so only Clover can dedicate it to another Clover terminal under your contract. Basically it’s an environmental issue too, we end up having to pay to dispose of them, more flipping landfill.

I bought the Clover Mobile in Jan. 2016. It immediately would not hold a charge and they replaced it. Fast forward 9 months later and the replacement will not hold a charge. They are sending a replacement. But they made me buy a new charger for $40 before sending a replacement. My warranty will be up in January and I'm scared to death that it will stop charging again. I bought it ourtright and am thinking I have no recourse after January. Do not buy this junk. Bad for business.
